When Assured Shredding came to the office

We were delighted to receive our new shredder!

At Art Division it’s all go, go, go, but, from time to time, our pleasant corner of South West London can get a little quiet. It’s not like we’re situated in the midst of the hustle and bustle of Central London, with shops, tourists and temptations galore at our door. Who would feel safe dumping confidential documents into a local authority recycling bin (and of course there’s the risk of some bored jobsworth rummaging through your rubbish and fining you for not putting it into the correct section...)

Online resources for making infographics

Infographics are great. We love them here on Mission Imblogable. A good piece of data visualisation will grab the eye and the imagination. We've certainly posted our fair share of them, we loved this one on colour palettes and of course we can't miss the chance to remind you of our London at the Oscars effort. But how do you go about making one? Taking your research from words to images? These days there are plenty of ways to help yourself make your information into something beautiful.

If you are fond of making and sharing infographics, you can actually take advantage of the dozens of free online resources that you can check out online. They’re not just convenient to use, they are also user-friendly and boast of state-of-the-art features, which make it more exciting to create unique infographics to wow your readers. What are these online resources? Read on and find out:

1.    Chart Gizmo

Chart Gizmo is available for free and it also comes in premium versions. For the free account, this popular infographic source allows you to make charts, which you can display on your website, blog and social media accounts. Chart Gizmo is hailed for its practicality, especially for those who want to explicate financial, scientific or mathematical information. You can then import or export the data to and from Excel and other platforms.

2.    Creately

Creately focuses on establishing comfort and convenience by collaborating everything that’s visual. Among the most popular features include click styling, shapes, curvy connectors, smooth real-time collaboration, project management, inline commenting, one click publishing, and team management, among others. The site also boasts of clean and user-friendly interfaces that infographic experts can’t help but fall in love with.

You can customize the choices or upload your own images, too! Kuler can also be used with Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign, which means, you can search and download swatches without the need to navigate away from your project.

So, if you have a picture that you want to serve as your work’s focal point, Pictaculous will auto-suggest five color palettes that do match the image, while at the same time highlighting the main color in your image.

Piktochart is famous because of its half-dozen likeable, free themes, as well as dozens of paid versions, allowing you to design simple but excellent infographics. It’s very user-friendly, too, because you can drag and drop shapes and images. It’s also customizable, so you won’t have any trouble working with this. Lines, bars, and charts can also be made and users are allowed to export PNG and JPG files, in print or web quality.

6. is one of the most popular free, online tools for infographic-making. While creating graphs is not available using this tool, the good catch is making conceptual visualizations and you can really tell great stories using this online resource. Its user interface is excellent, while the easy-to-navigate themes are just gorgeous, designed to address various purposes, including map, flow-chart, and comparison/relationship making. also boasts of offering some of the top quality selections of exquisitely-designed icons, images and objects, as well as, backgrounds, which are all yours to use! However, for free-version users, you cannot upload your own images, but you can download a web-quality version as JPG.

7.    ChartGo

ChartGo makes it very fast and easy to design and create graphs. So, if you are having trouble before when doing graphs and charts, then, try ChartGo all your worries will go away. All you have to do is pick the settings that you find most convenient, paste your data on the Chart Data Area, press create button and there you have your presentation ready! Five things to avoid when choosing an SEO agency

With new SEO companies popping up everywhere, some of them are bound to be less than the real deal. How can you tell the good from the bad so that you can make an informed decision?

Here are five things to avoid when selecting the SEO agency that’s right for you:

Paying Too Much or Too Little 

We all want to save money, and there’s nothing wrong with looking for a good deal when shopping for SEO services. But if the company charges too little, that may be a red flag. A good SEO company’s services involve large amounts of research, writing, and expertise in order to deliver the right results, and all of that costs money. So think about how much time they should be taking to look after your needs, and what the cost of that should be. Watch out for the over chargers too. Some companies are just needlessly expensive. Is the fee one-off or monthly? Watch out too for hidden costs or paying by visitor to your site as that can be very unpredictable.

Relevant Content

Cheating on content itself won’t get you far. A common mantra in the business goes, “Content is king,” and there’s a reason for that. People are drawn to content that’s original, interesting, or funny. If the content generated for you by an SEO agency feels like it’s been copied from another site or churned out by a computer, it’s not going to work. You need good relevant content to draw people to your site and increase your domain authority and page rank, and if your SEO agency doesn’t deliver that, it’s time to kick them to the curb.

Skimping on Quality 

In a similar vein, the number of hits your site gets isn’t the only measure you need to worry about. Getting a million hits won’t do you good if those hits come from people who aren’t interested in what you have to offer. A good SEO company will help ensure that people within your target demographic are the ones doing the majority of the clicking. It’s okay if you get a few clicks from people you aren’t interesting in marketing to, because you never really know who might want what you’re selling. This is not the way to do it; it destroys your credibility and may even drive people away from your site. It also irritates those whose blogs you’ve spammed. If your spam repels people from their material, it’s on your head.

Sketchy Guarantees (Or Guarantees in General) 

The Internet is an unpredictable thing, and no SEO company can really predict what it will take to maneouvre your site to number 1 on Google. They can’t with certainty tell you if it’s even possible for your site to get to number 1 (though a good agency will still certainly try). Nor are there any silver bullets, quick fixes, or secret formulas. Remember when that deposed third-world prince contacted you and offered you a million dollars if you would just send him your banking information? Reserve the same level of scepticism to any SEO company that offers promises that seem too good to be true.

Lack of Transparency 

If your prospective SEO company is worth their salt, they will explain their methods to you and answer your questions. They should be open with you about how they achieve their results and will not keep anything back from you. If they seem hesitant to share information with you, their practices may be suspect.
